Young – Building Surveyor What were the reasons for developing your outdoor space? The school were looking to better the open tarmac space and provide more recreation opportunities. How we transformed the play area to provide outdoor learning opportunities for the children: Our Fun House was chosen which includes a Chalk Station, Playtronic Driving Panel, Chunky Noughts and Crosses Game, Seating and Shelter. The new Fun House was adjusted slightly to fit on the acute slope showing that all our equipment can be installed in any size or shape of space. How the children will benefit from the new play area: The Fun House provides opportunities for the children to create, imagine and socialise over games and activities. They will develop their emotional and social interaction, understanding of sharing, language and communication skills.
